How do I apply for a position with Wetherspoons?

All of our recruitment is completed online through this website. Please click on the 'find a job' tab where you can search and apply for all our current vacancies.

I am under 18, can I still apply?

Yes you can, please follow this link to find out more on working hours and the positions in the pub

I am under 16, can I still apply?

Unfortunately we do not offer any employment to under 16's; please visit our site again once you turn 16.

Do I need experience to apply for a position?

Anyone can apply for our staff vacancies regardless of previous experience.

We believe everyone has to start somewhere so we recruit based on attitude and provide training so you can gain the required skills.

I am interested in applying for a new opening pub but the vacancies aren't online yet?

We tend to start recruiting 8-10 weeks prior to the pub opening, you can find out when a new pub is opening by clicking on 'our pubs' followed by 'new pubs'. All vacancies will be advertised via our website and you can sign up for email alerts which will notify you when the vacancies go live.

How do I unsubscribe from job alerts?

If you could please scroll to the bottom of the next email you receive from us you will be able to click on an 'unsubscribe' link which will remove you from our mailing list.

I have seen a poster in my local pub advertising for staff but I can't find the roles online, what do I do?

All our pubs recruit directly for their staff positions; if you give your local Wetherspoons a call they can ensure the vacancies are online for you.

I have submitted an application form and haven't received a response?

If you have applied for a staff position please contact the pub you have applied to and they will be able to provide an update on the status of your application.

If you have applied for a management vacancy, which has already closed, and you have not heard back please contact our recruitment team on 01923 477709 and we can let you know the status of your application.

Do you offer a work experience scheme?

We only offer our work experience scheme within our head office. If you would like to join our head office team to complete your work experience, please send us your CV and a covering letter:

What shifts will I be required to work in the pubs?

All of our staff and management team work shifts on a rota basis. Each pub will open and close at different times and you may be asked to come in before the pub opens or stay after it has closed. Please speak to your local Wetherspoons directly to find out if they can accommodate any specific working hours.

I am experiencing technical issues on the website, who do I contact?

If you are on a PC please ensure you have clicked accept cookies on the banner at the bottom of the screen and you have enabled access to the required pages. If you continue to experience issues please call our recruitment team on 01923 477709 when you are by your PC and we can try to talk you through it.

If you are on a mobile/tablet Our mobile site allows you to review vacancies near you, add the vacancies to your 'jobs basket' and then email the list of vacancies to your email address so that you can apply on-line from a desktop computer when it is convenient for you.
