Wetherspoon’s staff and customers have now raised £4 million for their chosen charity – CLIC Sargent.
The company has announced that, for a further five years, it is to raise funds for the charity which supports young people with cancer.
To mark the occasion, Wetherspoon’s chief executive, John Hutson, was joined by sports presenter and CLIC Sargent patron Steve Rider, together with CLIC Sargent’s media and PR manager, Ruth Bowen, and Wetherspoon staff (pictured).
Wetherspoon began its partnership with CLIC Sargent in 2002, with the aim of raising as much money as possible to improve the lives of young people and children with cancer, across the UK.
Over the next five years, we aim to raise £1 million each year, through a wide range of events at all of our pubs, as well as at head office.
