I’m a bar associate at The Regal, in Cambridge.  I joined the company four months ago, after seeing an advert in the window. I had heard that Wetherspoon is a good employer to work for. 

I work part time at the moment, to earn some extra money, while studying. It’s great because I am given flexible hours to suit my studies.

As a bar associate, it’s my responsibility to ensure that customers are being served quickly; we have a two-minute service aim which we must try to achieve, even when the pub is busy. 

Friendly service is really important; I always ensure that customers leave happy.

I love working as part of a team – it’s really important to me. My managers and colleagues are really friendly, and we all work really well together and share the workload.

I enjoy coming to work every day, it’s very busy, but always fun.
