I’m a kitchen associate at The Tivoli, in Cambridge. I joined Wetherspoon three months ago, when The Tivoli opened.
My first day was spent at a company induction. Then, I went straight into preopening training, which was really intense. I have learned so much from it, though, and actually really enjoyed it.
I have also worked a few shifts at The Regal, in Cambridge, as part of my training. This has helped to build my confidence and has also allowed the managers to see what I am capable of.
I have really enjoyed the responsibility of working in these busy kitchens. I have also been put on the Shining Stars programme, meaning that I am being fast-tracked up the careers ladder, hopefully to be running a kitchen of my own, in the future.
